Unemployment held up for 2 weeks?  

Yes you are being taken for a ride, you are being used by this person, that owed you money, and they are going to come up with what ever excuse, to keep from paying you I don't like dealing with people like this, my brother did this to me, he called me on my cell phone, when I was at work, and aske me to wire him some money,because he needed it, to try and get a placwe to stay, so I did because he was sleeping in his truck, and when I wanted my money back,and I need it when I got sick with cancer, he would not pay me back, so I will never help my brother again, yes I love my brother but, money he will never get from me ever again, some people you just can't help.

sounds like a delaying tactic to me - I've heard of government checks coming late, but they don't notify you in advance of that!

First off they cant just keep your money. They cant just make a mistake and say We messed up so you dont get paid this week. COME ON! I think they are playing games with you. That's why I never lend money. People, no matter who, always play games with other peoples money. I know it stinks but tell them that you've checked into it for them and if they are owed money unemployment cant just keep it. That is a FACT! Tell this person that you dont care how they get it but they have to pay you. Give them an extra week. Honestlty Rose I wouldnt plan on getting it back just for your own sanity. Dont lend out anymore money to anyone. With the economy being the way it is, we need all the money we can make. Im sorry you had to experience such a selfish thing from your friend.I do think they are lying. Its a shame to have lost a friend like you. dl
