I am studying about cults and looking for information on the Find Horn Foundation that was started by Peter and Eileen Caddy, I heard that they have really weird beliefs but are exceptionally eco friendly, has anyone heard of them and what teachings do they have.

Findhorn Community is one of the oldest Pagan communities in existence. The community was founded in 1962 by Peter and Eileen Caddy and Dorothy Maclean. They are perhaps best known for their ability to raise huge vegetables on sandy, largely barren soil with the help of plan spirits or _devas_. Over the years the community grew in numbers and expanded its activities. The Findhorn Foundation was formally registered as a charity under Scottish law in 1972. The Foundation now owns a number of properties, including Cluny Hill College, a large organic farm, a private school and a caravan park (trailer park), and the Ecovillage is an ongoing demonstration center for ecologically-oriented building techniques. You can learn a good deal more about them at http://www.findhorn.org.
