Reusable bag and shopping points  

I think its a great idea to have reusable bags.
I know a few of the stores in my area reward you with a small discount on your groceries and charge you for using plastic bags.
It is a good idea to have an incentive.
Our area is a little behind the times.
People in the city I'm originally from have been getting used to the idea for yaers, and now, taking their bags with them to the store is automatic.
Without the incentive or "penalty", it is hard to remember, since we've been such addicts to the "plastic convenience" for so long!!

This is the first time, I heard about you receiving points, for reuseing shopping bags, I haven't heard about this, were I live, and I have brought two of those reuseable bags, I haven't seen anything about this, posted in the store where I shop or anything, I guess I had better ask questions, next time I go shopping.

It is a good thing that we do not have problems like that here. Malls give promos for using own bag when shopping. It is always small freebies every now and then. I care for the environment so I fully support this.

I am also from the Philippines, but I am not sure if we will be talking about the same store since I don't have any experience that the cashier won't credit the points for the green bag. Is the store you are talking about have a My Own Bag promo on a Wednesday? This means they don't have plastic bags for their regular customers but paper bags only, and if you have this green bag, your points is doubled? Anyway, it's bad that they won't give you the points, you should have ask their manager about that rule. It is not really good that they have a rule like that, I think it's more important that you have your own bag, the green one, and has brought it instead of buying the plastic bag, and in your own little way have contributed something to Mother Earth.
