Keyboard is an input device.Christopher Sholes, the inventor of the typewriter, is acknowledged as the creator and inventor of the computer keyboard, since his design. The keyboard is named after the first six letters on the top alphabetic line of the keyboard.

I didn't really know who invented the keyboard, but I know now. Also I do know who is the inventor of the first computer and that is John Atanasoff. He is half American, half Bulgarian and I am very glad because I am from Bulgaria and so little people know of this and it is just shamefull. The 1973 decision of the patent suit Honeywell v. Sperry Rand named him the inventor of the first automatic electronic digital computer, a special-purpose machine that has come to be called the Atanasoff–Berry Computer.
