What do you do to keep your carpet clean?

If you have a carpet in your house how do you think it is the best method to keep it clean? And why? Thanks for your suggestion.

I hoover my carpets every day, every few months I put some shake and vac on them and then hoover. Once every two years I get the carpet man to come in and clean them for me. I like my carpets to be clean and to smell clean

I regularly clean it with vacuum cleaner and once a year I take the carpet out and beat the dust and dirt out of it. It's also good to remove the stain shortly after it has been created. If the stain dries up, it will be much harder to remove it.

hell0! in order to keep my carpet clean i regularly clean it up with the vacuum cleaner( every 3 days) and also wash it twice per year, because no matter how often I clean it with the vacuum cleaner it always gets a little bit grubby!
