Garage Sales

I do like to yard sale, garage sale, flea market and estate sale. There are many things that I will not buy for these places, such as clothing or fabric covered furniture. It is something about what might be in those items that cause me to shy away from them. I do often find good buys on silver trays, wooden furniture and electronics at these sales. Also find good buys on sporting goods (golf clubs, baseball bats) and tools. Don't make it to the sales every weekend but certainly keep my eye out for some of the bigger ones.

My husband and I like to go to garage sales and flea markets. I usually don't buy clothes, shoes or furniture, but I have often bought books or magazines. In my paintings I use the pictures from old magazines and I am always looking for old magazines. Sometimes I am lucky, and sometimes I find a lot of very cheap magazines. I once went to a garage sale, and I asked the woman who was having the sale if she had any old magazines, and she said: "Oh, I just put them in the garbage. Come on, let's see if we can save them" and she removed them from the garbage bin and gave them to me. I got them all for free I was very happy, and I thanked the woman for helping me.

I can't wait for them to start. I love to go. I usually go once a week. You can find some real nice things.

Ive never been to a garage sale. Im not too found of buying things that have been used by people I dont know. I already have more furniture than I can use at the time being. Thought of doing a garage sale myself but hate to have to bargain with people.

I like going garage sale-ing, but I don't go every weekend. Last year I probably only went like 2 or 3 weekends. I like to buy clothes when I can find some that I like, but that's not very often. I find that they are best for finding things for kids - like clothes, toys, books, etc..

NOPE. I have not been to a garage sale since i was a little kid. Its not that i dont like them, its just that i dont go to them. i havent had the opportunity to participate in one either. ...actually... i'd been thinkin about starting my own garage sale, except i'd be selling my junk in general, not the stuff in my garage. Well, there're only a few items that i have the mind to sell. tryna get rid of a couple of guitars so that i can make room for a new one. a few neat gadgets like... a lava lamp. toys.... blah. I get my clothes from stores.
