Buying Records.  

David Bowie. I love listening to his record albums. Many albums that were recorded on vinyl sound better as such.

Well, you can usually see big scratches, and make sure to keep the needle on the player dust-free. Either the player will work or it won't. :) It's mechanical!

Much old vinyl will show marks or scratches, but so long as there are no major bad scratches then you should be ok. You can buy record cleaning cloth and fluid but use it sparingly for the best results. So far as a record player is concerned, if you switch it on and it works then you are ok, there is no technology to worry about hun.

So far as choices, well I'm biased towards by goth and rock albums, but I would suggest you check out Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and some of the earlier David Bowie

Well, I don't think I would recommend a close 'n play phonograph, but a good turntable...the best choice is direct drive, with a good magnetic cartridge. And the stylus should be changed once a year or every 500 hours of play, whichever happens first.

Im guessing when you say Records you are saying Vinyl. Well I personally by CD's, so I call them albums. But if im honest, calling it a record sounds cool. After all, the LP came before the tapes and CD's. And although a CD is a greeat thing to ahve, it isn't quite as sensitive as a record, the old LP's ia great thing to have in a collection. I was born in 1990, so really boring into the CD generation, but I have an interest in Classic Rock so mostly old LP's, but I dont own any.

Anyway, Although i dont own LP's/Records (dpending on what you define as a record). I do own a lot of Whitesnake, AC/DC, Dio albums among others including; Rainbow, Deep Purple, Jimi Hnedirx form exaple. I think the record/LP is still relevant today, and its great when an artist also realseases an album/record in that format.

If I love the singer or I love the song and the album, I will definitely buy an original copy of the CD as well and not just download it through the internet.. Even if I already have downloaded the song, I will still buy a copy of their record. That is just how I addicted I am when it comes to music. :)
