Are paid upgrade memberships to PTC sites worth it?

i dont trust any site enough to invest money into getting a higher membership or buying/renting referrals so i have never done it but i know a lot of people like to upgrade because quicker earnings.. even with the stable and legit ptc's out there i just dont think its worth the risk and we all know some of them disappear out of no where and then you would have not only lost earnings but your paid membership upgrade too! i rather just go with free and never pay anything then im not losing much if it does go under..
have you bought an upgraded membership to a ptc site? was it worth it? did you make more and quicker?

most of the ones i've heard about are not worth it. I've been trying to look in to them and almost all of them that have you upgrade they just say its an upgrade but they get all your money and you get no benefit from it..
