There is a major stigma attached to them, but I feel it is mostly about who the pet parent is and how the dog is treated and raised.
One of our dogs is a yellow lab/pit bull mix. Lucky for us, she looks like Marley, so we get no grief from neighbors. She does like to chew stuff...
One of my friends' families always adopts abandoned pit bulls as their pets.
Do you have a pit bull or mix and how do you deal with criticism of those who don't understand how sweet they can be?

| |  Hi beeeckie! Yes i had once a pitbull named Evolution, and we called him Evoh for short. He's a nice dog, a very big one and sometimes whenever i stare with his face i can say that i pity him because he's only a dog. We treated him well but others said that pitbull's mind are very temperamental, i began to get frightened with Evoh and its not very long after that, i just found Him dead. That's the time i remembered that i cried a lot because of my pet, i missed his company and till this day, i never had any pet dog around because of the pain i felt before with the sudden death of my dog.
