| woohoo bought a new macbook white unibody late 2009!  | | | |  Yesterday i bought a new macbook white.After having a black macbook for three years i thought i was ready for the new one.
I used my time machine backup from the black macbook to put the files on my new macbook within half an hour everything was installed and it was ready for use.
Tested the battery and well i think i used the battery for at least 5 hours till 6 hours and it still had 25 % of usage left without charging it again.
I must say i always liked mac and it even got better for a lower price.With the nvidia geforce videocard the games are really nice to play now.
If it comes to mac i can talk for hours but i don't want to exhaust people.
Anyways please share your experience on apple products or share if you prefer windows or mac.

| |  I still remember my first macbook. I got as a surprise birthday gift from my dad. It is the 2009 version of the white macbook. I basically like it. I have been using it for months and so far, I'm not having any problems with it. I am more careful with it though since it's very fragile in my opinion. The battery now drains too fast. I don't really have problems with it but the heat. It overheats too much.
I hope this macbook would last because I am basically in love with it and I don't want to change it. I also might need it more in college. If ever it does get broken, I would cry first because this is my first laptop. But I would buy a mac mini after so that I could run better graphics and have firewire.

About the batteries the best way for a long life is to use them without the charger than when 50 % is left you charge it again.
Once a month you let the battery run down low till the computer turns off automatically and you charge it again till it's 100% without turning the macbook on.
My battery from my last macbook (black late 2006) lasted for 3 years.
I never had any problems.
Concerning the heat you can try to put in a new fan via the mac repair or you can also buy a cooling pad.
Macbook can last much longer than windows pc,and you can put any new version on the mac without the computer getting slow!
There are also some nice freeware for the mac which really gets the best out of your mac.
There's so much information on the internet it is awesome.

| |  I own an Ipod Nano 4gb, iPhone 3G 8gb and an Ipod touch 32gb. I can say that I'm really satisfied with the quality of apple. They have a lot of downloadable applications for ipod touch and iphone and they are all fun to use. I also liked the performance of their products, they are fast and user-friendly too. I'm planning on to buy an iPad maybe in May because I do not have enough money in my pocket at the moment but right now I can feel the excitement of owning an iPad. I recommend windows because they are easier to use and understand although Mac is more stable than windows. But still windows is where it all started and they have more users because of programs that can only be used in windows. But I don't like the bugs that comes with the windows as for the apple I am not sure if they also contain a lot of errors.

A lot of window users buy windows because it's still cheaper and concerning microsoft they already know how to stop all those bugs and viruses but as long people are still buying their products because they are cheaper they don't do a thing about it.
Now windows users don't realise they have to buy virus software every year and on mac i still have not received any viruses within 3 years.
The only thing i miss is there are more windows games than mac games. | | | |

Also you're right mac do not have viruses, maybe apple thought that they will be able to sell more products if they don't make viruses for their operating system and that's a great advantage for them.
