Akira Live-Action Movie

After years of rumors and speculations we're finally seeing some concrete proof that Akira will be made into a live-action movie. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing though. There's been a slew of anime series being turned into live action movies lately. So far I've found out that there will be two parts to the movie and it's being directed by The Hughes Brothers (The Book of Eli, Menace II Society, etc). There isn't any information about the possible cast or anything that I know of yet but I'm really curious and who they'll choose.
I'm actually wary about the outcome for this. I'm sure that a lot of fans are already groaning and bemoaning this news. Even though I was never really a fan of the animated movie I can still picture the reaction if this one bombs. There will be a lot of unhappy people.

there is a lot of information running about akira's life action but nothing is concrete. the best thing you can do is wait until you get some information from the companies that owns the rights of it.
I just hope that if is real wont be as bad as dragonball
