I'm planning a research or a survey on the subject soncerning the issue of smoking among medical school students. So I'm here wanna get some of your opinions about your concerns when you think about this issue. Some of my concerns are: their grades(freshman sophermore senior or else) their family backgrounds whether their parents smoke why they smoke How often do they smoke So I'd like to listen to you and get more ideas... Thanks~

Maybe these medical students are already playing God. The reason why I'm telling this is because they knew smoking is dangerous to ones health and why on earth they do it anyway. Sometimes...old habit can't be easily changed and they have a hard time stopping smoking in the first place. I don't smoke myself and it will be an insult to me if I got treated with a doctor who smells of nicotine. Sounds odd but I think doctors should take care of their health first before I can trust them my very own life. If they smoke and treat patients at the same time how could we trust their diagnosis while they are not following it for themselves.

That's not odd at all! It is true that if the doctor who treat me is smoking, I'll feel insecure and upset. Thank you~

Smoking affects and kills not only the smokers but also the passive smokers. So in public places people should avoid smoking.Being studing in Medical schools, I think its not right on their path to practise in such activites. If they are chain smokers the result is very worse. Everybody should know the fact that Smoking kills the person in long run.

Hi, augustine1987. I think that smoking in medical schools is very dangerous and unhealthy to a student and to others as well. It should not be allowed. If they want to smoke they should do so outside of the building. It is not good to smoke because it can do severe damage to their lungs and brain.

Another side that I'm concered with is that considering that they are medical students, they should be quite familiar with the damage that smoking would do. But they choose to smoke anyway, so why? And what questions do you think I should ask them in order to find out the reason?
