An affiliate program is where you profit by selling others' product.

People have created products & are looking for internet marketers to promote then. Usually you will find such products at sites like clickbank, commission junction, paydotcom, amazon etc. When you direct buyers to these products, some will end up buying them. You will get a commission out of every sale. All that that you need to do is market/sell. The affiliate site will take care of collecting the payment, delivering the goods & transferring your commission.The biggest chunk of online earning is in Affiliate marketing.

Like the other Mylotters said an affiliate program is a website that offers it's members a percentage of the earnings they bring to the site. There is mainly 2 types of affiliate marketing. The first type is where you as a member will promote and market the website to get referrals. In return the website will either pay you for every person that you bring in to the website or will pay you commisions of the referrals spendings or earnings. For example, I refer my friend to a website that offers 25% of referrals spendings. My friend decides to buy a membership for 10$ so I will earn 2.50$ from that transaction. Pretty simple, no? The second type of affiliate marketing that exists is where you as a member will promote a product and the program will pay you a certain percentage of the sale. For example, I am a member of a program that pays 20% of all the sales you make. One day, someone buys a book that belongs to the program I am a member of and pays 30$ for it. I as the seller will earn 20% of the value meaning 6$. It is a very easy procedure but a very hard thing to master! Hope this helped! :D

There are ones that you only need to copy and paste urls to put onto a site and if someone clicks on it, you might get money.
