I wouldn't say it bothers me... it does concern me a little because he's incredibly intelligent and quite frankly could do a lot if he wanted to. I've always been an ambitious person and when I see someone that has far more knowledge than I do in profitable fields (such as computer programming), but then see that knowledge go to waste as many afternoons are spent playing WoW... yeah, you can say that irks me.

Lol NOW I understand your predicament even more! I do know how you feel. I actually feel like that sometimes for myself too, as well as for others. After all, every person has an enormous potential in his or her own right. Right? But yeah I do feel for you. Sounds like you two could be teaming up right now and making tons of money off of iphone apps or something. And on that note, I'd like to say to you... that if you do someday wake him up (and I really hope you do), give me a PM if you need a third I got lotsa ideas lol ;)

There is also another thing... Most of the time people don't really listen to other people. Especially when the approach is wrong. How about using this to both your advantage? My friend earns a crap load from Wow.

If you would approach it as "Hey, WOW's good and I think we can be productive with this while we're having fun." (just like this site yey!) Instead of "You know WOW's ruining you, you probably should find another hobby.". Then maybe he'll start listening to you. In my experience, the first works a lot better than the latter by a mile! This is actually a kid trick but it's applicable to everyone, since esentially everyone is a kid and an adult through the entire duration of their lives. Hope this post helps. Good luck! :)
