Sometimes, changes can be good but, it would be better if you are comfortable with what you are at the moment.

You can grow your hair long, do something with the tone that your friend mentioned but, if you are not really happy about such changes, you shouldn't force yourself so that you can be another typical girl with good manners and good appearance. Being natural is orginal and that better than trying to be the same with a lot of girls who seem to look all the same.
