What instant messaging or online communication tools do you use?  

I've heard about magicjack, and I wanted to get one but I don't know if it can be used here in the Philippines. And besides, I can't use our landline telephone because my parents use it for business purposes, so I didn't bother about it anymore. To call US, I just use a free program called iCall. It's free, but atleast I can call landline telephones in the US, as well.

If you don't mind me asking, what VOIP systems do you use? And are they free just like Skype and YM? Anyway, yes it is very helpful indeed. Especially if you're in a long distance relationship (lol). And it's also a great way to maintain communication with friends who are also near. Faster than texting/sms messaging.

I never had or tried MSN, so i don't really know what it's like. But I know it's one of the most common messaging services in the US, including aim. Haha, thanks for sharing what you do! I used to be like that, just sending random group messages so I'll have someone to chat with. Lol

Well sometimes it gets pretty much boring thats why i tend to just click on whoever it is thats online then talk to them with just bout anything in my mind.And who knows you can be even closer together with each topic that you share that time.See what chatting can do? lol . I like the video call feature of Skype too, it's fast and not laggy/delayed like YM's. You can also take snapshots with it. The only problem I have with skype is it needs too much bandwidth. Like sometimes if my connection gets a bit slow, the messages get delayed and don't send immediately. Same thing for receiving messages, so it causes confusions. But for video calls, Skype really is nicer compared to YM. But if it's just for instant messaging, I prefer YM.

I don't usually have cash for load, so I just use SMS for urgent stuff, and when I'm not at home. Lol

Yes, I also think that Yahoo Messenger is the most reliable of all. It also has features like games and free SMS messaging.

My partner and I also use YM to communicate. Sometimes, I also use YM to text SMS message to people if I don't have load. And yes, YM is indeed very user friendly, unlike others which are a bit complicated.

This is actually the first time I've heard of QQ. Thanks for sharing that! Is QQ only for Chinese people, or can it be used also in other countries (or languages)?

Oh,I am not sure.But I think it's only for Chinese cause when a Chinese go abroad he/she never uses it again.

Is MSN's video call feature fast (like very clear and the video isn't laggy like YM)?

I prefer skype, but use ym too, because of many my global friends, who prefer only YM.
