Need Help With A Fish Dish Please!

April 15, 2010 2:18pm CST
Hi everyone, I went to the supermarket today and bought myslef two whole makerels. The problem is that I have no idea how I should cook them. the only makerel I have ever eaten before is out of a tin so I'm not exactly sure what cooking style will work best with the flavour. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I also cook mine in the oven. I hate cleaning pots so I use alum foil. Some tomatoes, oil, potatoes, onions, any herb you like, salt, pepper and voila!! Delicious fish and no dishes to wash. Estragon is a great herb with fish. Bon Appetit!!

When you know not what to do with fish then fry it and add sweet and sour sauce and surely it will be really great. Just make sure you make your sweet and sour sauce perfect in taste. It must not be too sour nor too sweet. Each flavor should coordinate with the other. You also have to add some cubes or slices of your chosen veggies to add up more color and more nutrients as well.

Fish Dish - My favorite
You can also cook the mackerel in vinegar and soy sauce, with added ginger, garlic and onion. You can also add some sugar to make it flavorful. This will preserve your mackerel for days. I do this kind of recipe in any kind of fish and I always find it really delectable.

I just marinate them with some lemon juice, a bit of salt and pepper then grill, when cooked served with melted garlic butter. This is best with steaming rice, grilled mackerel can be dipped with combined lemon juice and soy sauce and some chillies. The best!
