Why the selection committee makes the selection on the basis of the names not on the basis of current performances in a matches..You get what i'm trying to say in this discussion.. They always give the preferences to the name means Like i'm giving an example of V. sehwag he has got a good name in cricket but if he is not in good form currently why should he taken into the squad despite there is many player who are performing terrific but doesn't has much name..result of which in cricket matches we are unable to perform better... What is your perception i'm right or wrong over this matter...?

You are wrong - Viru is still in the team as he has much more experience than any other opener. Experience matters in some cases. Can you tell an equivalent replacement for Viru in T20's?? I do not defy the fact that youngsters need to be overlooked! Vinay Kumar is the dumbest but the luckiest bowler I have ever seen! Well, a team must be balanced with all strengths.

Well in this games, a player who believed to be consistent doesnot show the same in all matches. One who plays excellent in one series of match, doesnot do the same in other. So i think its based on their previous years of performances.

actually its a double-edged knife.it can hurt you either way. if you go by name and pick someone who is not in such a good form like yuvi and hope he performs well in the T20,you might look like a fool if that guy gets out cheaply. on the other hand,if you pick players on the current form, rather than the class, like vinay kumar,he might get you 2 wickets in his first match and probably get thrashed for 10 an over in every other match.after all he is young. so it is really tough to be a selector. ofcourse you got players who have class and are in form like tendulkar and raina,as a selector you are safe. unfortunately, other than raina, none of the indian batsmen are consistent in the IPL.funny thing is now our bowling line up looks ways stronger than our bowling.

ya thats true selction is partialy wron, that means its partialy correct. actually it should be on the basis of performance, but then why should we select a team so early? and how can you skip viru, saying that he is not performing well in ipl? he may be the one who is going to score most in t20 worldcup!
