Losing someone important - a painful journey  

Sorry to hear that.
Yes I lost my best friend once too.
New him for 12 years. We went though a lot together.
He helped me, I helped him. He was the brother I never had.
I thought I would do him a favour, helped him get a girlfriend.
Since then, I lost the best friend I ever had. She did not want him
to communicate with me anymore.This after 12 years!!!

How I got over it? It has been over 5 years know, I still miss him.
Last December, I lost my Mom. (She passed away) Now I miss him even more.
We used to talk about everything.
But when I get to missing him too much, I try and do something to pass the time.
Put on some music, watch a movie, go out of the house, take a walk.
Play my guitar, do my studies, talk to other friends about positive things.
Then normally I will get my mind off of him (and my Mom, cause I miss her too of course.)

I am not saying it is easy, but your life goes own.
And remember, you are your own best friend.
In time the pain gets less.

Yes - it is very painful to hear some one with whom we moved for a long time and he is no more in the world.
But this is the pattern of life which is unavoidable and some one or other day every one has to leave this world.
But, before leaving this world achieve something which satisfies your heart and leave as it only stays in the world - not the money ( which is piled up in the banks).

Don't worry. I'm sure your special friend will be forever with you in your heart and in your memories. Always remember the good times you've had with him whenever you're sad and the sadness will go away for sure. Be happy my friend.

It is really sad to hear about your story.but you can't do anything this time but you have to move on.i have also experienced what you have experienced.the mom my friend leave with us for almost 6 months.she is a very industrious woman.since we are working she prepares everything for us.from our meal to the dress that we are going to wear.she even do the washing of our clothes even though we are already controlling her not do it.after 6 months she decided to go home because she has important things to do in the province.one morning,we wake up with no breakfast prepared.i am not saying that we make her as a maid.we just miss her presence.

I remember how hard it was losing a very close lady friend (not girlfriend, although we almost were at one stage) several years ago, it almost felt like I'd lost an arm we were so close.

I still think of here a lot, and sometimes at the strangest times, like when I look in a shop and see certain things.

My condolences for your lost, man. I have experienced lost of my close relative and I know how you feel right now.

I have few very close friends as well and though they are still on this earth i think i can understand your pain of loosing close ones.Its a painful thing and we feel as there is some hollowness inside us.
There is no remedy on such pain it will eases time passes.Time is the only remedy.

well it can make us tougher and more mature we could learn on it that losing a friend will make us more to stand with our selves not anymore with an helping hand so losing a friend that stay with us with many years is a good thing also

Your post made me think of the time when i graduated from the junior high school. I had a very good deskmate. WE got along very well, but graduation took us apart and i cried the day we graduated.
When i got home my sister asked what happened (she told something from my eyes) and i told her the thing about my deskmate. She said, we all had to say goodbye to each other sooner or later no matter how well we go along with each other, but departure doesnt mean we will never see each other. We can meet again if we want and we can call each other. So you can call him if you miss him and ask him for some advice if you encouter something difficult.

ALthough it hurt nothing is permanent in this world you just have to accept it. The good thing he left with a good memories in your mind and surely when time you see each other again the bonding moment would still be the same.
