the volcanic ash is landing  

hey there nah we been lucky up north and not had any ash hitting the ground shame though as its great for gardens lol,

to be honest I really don't know what all the fuss is about and why there is so much news coverage granted planes can't fly but unless you are planning on flying anywhere then does it really affect the rest of us not really lol,

tho it is pretty darn cool that there's a volcano erupting about 1000 miles away and we are getting the ash from it.

Yes, that can be nerve raking, having your BF around all the time.
You cannot get things done the way you normally do.
Totally out of the routine, house looks terrible.
I know the feeling, hahaha!
But we love our BF anyway.

Here in Berlin the air-planes are still not flying.
May be my imagination, but my eyes have been irritating me for the last 3 days.
But, I cannot say we see ashes here.
Hopefully things will get back to normal soon.

Living so far away from all that I cannot imagine how weird that must be to encounter something like that. Volcanic ash, it's just amazing. Not in a good way, but...

Monday morning I took the car through the car wash, this morning it is covered with a fine layer of ash. Most of the vehicles around the Midlands seem to have a covering, and a neighbour had a line loaded with white sheets which are now tainted with a faint brownish stain.

Seems like the winds blowing from Iceland to UK have picked up and as such more volcanic ashes will be heading your way.

Flights in and out your country has been indefinitely delayed and canceled. And, this is causing such a havoc that there will be a huge backlog of delayed travelers to clear when the skies clear up.

This is one of the worse things to happen now and I hope that it will not cause more airlines from going under. And delayed passengers will not loose their jobs due to their unforeseeable extension of their leave.

I am on the other side of the world, so I have only been hearing of this event here and on the radio. It must be similar to the big dust storms that blanketed us for a few weeks last year. It was really frustrating as we could not have any windows open and dust still got into everything including our throats!

hi doormouse well here in California we are much too far away to get any of that ash. I know close to the volcano and even farther away a lot of people with various lung problems have been really suffering from the fall out of ash in t he air. that must have been really bad for the people of Iceland, there's nothing cool about a volcano erupting at all.
Its like the horrible wild fire season we had here one fall when we had to stay indoors with air conditioning on a s the air was so full of ashes you could not safely breath it. also so many lost their homes and we even lost a few firemen who were caught in a flashback of flames and so b adly burned they died of the injuries.

My car always looks like that so i would not have noticed.I find that in the summer there is alot of dust created.I think that there have been alot of people aswell as alot of companys that have been effected by all the disruption and there are alot of people out of pocket due to all the dust that the eruption has caused.

They are talking like now, the second volcano may erupt. That doesn't sound good at all if that were to happen. I guess all we can do is pray it doesn't.
