Are Relationship driven by personal motive?...   

I think so...Relationship is sometime driven by personal motives but I should be driven by love as well for it stay longer.

it depends upon the motive of the person. if you are having a relationship just to make things easy and not in trouble then that is personal motive. because you are doing it for that reason, and you are expecting something will fall according to your plans. but if you are having a relationship through trust and love, it is different. because this kind of relationship is mutual agreement to love and be love. trust is important for you to love that person. thats my view. have a nice day!

I think it's both taking an effect. Once we'Re in a relationship, we can't help but feel obliged to respond to their needs and even gain rapport unconsciously but we still think of our personal interest cuz it's something we can't get rid of. Both have a drive on our relationship with other people, regardless of what kind.

love, like others is also a motive. :D well, actually i think most of the relationship do start with a motive, like an attraction.. is it a motive too? but if you are asking for a motive far greater than love, or attraction, i think it could be many things like wanting to have a relationship with a person because you see that person as the one who will be able to help you, or a motive like trying to hurt someone else by means of that relationship, or maybe avoiding a family you initiate or stay in a relationship as a form of rebellion....

Yes I think so. Mainly because if you want the relationship to work out, even if it's hard for you, you accept and are willing to take the risk for the relationship to grow and strengthen. You are motivated to nurture the relationship and help each other through good/bad times. Good day!
