How long do you brush your teeth?  

Most people brush their teeth for about two minutes and some people do it for a longer period of time.

I have always made a point of brushing my teeth for three minutes. It was something that was drummed into me during my primary school years. I also floss regularly and rinse with mouthwash.

Further to brushing for three minutes, it is also recommended that you wait half an hour after eating and drinking to do so. Rinsing your mouth out first is also a good idea.

Drinking plenty of water and chewing sugar-free gum are also very good aids for oral hygiene; as is drinking milk (particularly after consuming acidic drinks).

Most people know that they have to brush their teeth for 2 minutes. but this seems such an arbitrary length of time that few of us bother to check how long we actually spend with our toothbrushes on our mouth.Many surveys show that on average people brush their teeth for less than 30 seconds at a time and yet many of them are convinced they've put in as much as 5 minutes.
You need a more systematic approach when brushing you teeth. Start on one side at the back eitther upper or lower and bursh the cheek side of the back of the 2 teeth for a few seconds . The brush the chewing surface then the palate side or tounge side. The ove on the next teeth and do the same.And so on until you've been all around your mouth.

It doesn`t really mather how long do we brush our teets.For me the mainly reason is just to be brushed , because this is part of our hygiene and if our breath smells bad people around us won`t like us.And now straight to the question , i brush my teeths from 2 to 4minutes maybe and i do this 2 times in a day - when i wake up and when i`m going to bed.

i read somewhere that it should be about 2-3 minutes and based from what my dentist told me about the shape of my gums or size of it being small i have a tendency to develop cavities in the corners so i concentrate of those areas. and it paid off.

Hi, emine08. Yes, I do brush my teeth. At least for five minutes. I try to make sure that I brush really good. Sometimes this will take about 3 minutes anyway. I like to brush my teeth with a deep cleaning toothbrush. It lets me know that my teeth are completely clean.
