How can you help to save our planet?  

Glad to know that you are from the philippines:)I'am orginally from there i notice that theres alot of filipinos in mylot and me myself included:).how many times we all heard recycle...recycle...recycling is a simple gesture that you can do to help save our planet..water conservation is onething too,take a shower instead taking a bath by doing simple ways you can help to save the planet.happy earth day!

I am worried about our planet. Even if global warming didn't seem to be happening, I would still be worried about our planet. We live here and we should take care of it. I try to do a number of things to help in my own small way. I recycle everything that I can. I plan to start composting very soon. I just need to figure out how to do it. I also drive a car that gets very good gas mileage. I don't waste electricity. And, I also try to conserve water. I think we can all do a little something everyday and that will add up to a big help for our lovely Earth.

Let's face it most people won't even think about making a lifestyle change unless it is relatively easy by taking these baby steps you can start to go green today without looking or feeling that your world has turn upside down.Use less paper, by now pretty much every store i walk into has reusable cloth bags that you can buy on your way to the cash register. If you do use paper remember to recycle it.Switch to reusable containers,i used a lot of disposable containers and wraps for food.Tin foil, plastic wrap, one-time use sandwich bags etc. the i discovered an amazing set of containers that go into the freezer and in the dishwasher.
Change your cleaning habits. instead of reaching for toxic materials try some crumpled up newspaper and vinegar to get streak free window. when you are washing your clothes use cold water instead of hot whenever possible. You also have to try to do compost for a better garden soil. Mind your energy and water usage.This are some easy tips to help save our planet. Hope it helps.

hell0 there! well there are really many ways to save the planet and everyone of us can help especially today, because of the Earth's day and we all must think for it, because the Earth is the only place for ous in this galaxy where we can actually live and I think that it would be really nice if all we make something ECO today, at least today so that we can feel a part of this holiday, of this so wonderful day.
as we all know there are many people all over the world called militants, who care for the Earth and care to keep it clean. maybe the most popularorganisation is green peace and you can go and visit their site. there you will find many ideas about that how can we actually help our planet, but of you don't have the time to visit that site, then I will give you some tips/advices:
1. The first thing that you can do and that I think it is the best way to help the planet breath is to plant a tree. wel, many people think that it is actually not such a big deal to plant a tree and what will change and how will help one tree, but if everybody of us here, the members of this social network go today or tomorrow and plant a tree there will be thousands of trees all over the world plant by us and one tree reduces the poison gases of 4 cars for an hour.
2. you can stop using paper to write some notices or at least with the bills and use electronic ones, because from 100 kg. paper one tree is cutted.
3. saving electricity also helps our planet and you can try to reduce your electricity consumption.
4. use a bicycle to go to work/school and use the car rarely, because riding a bicycle is ECO and driving is non-ECO :(
5. use only ECO-friendly products like deodorants and some washing products. don't use plastic bags, because plastic needs more than 100 years to decompose. throw the trash in the certain containers, so that they can be sort!

I usually turn off the lights when I am not in the room and I started using the green bags to prevent the build up of plastic garbage.

I`m glad to see that there are peoples who are responsible and think about our lovely Earth.Now to the question , it has many ways to save our planet , we can start from saving a water , there are some country which the peoples there are killing them self fro water , this is the mainly problem of the Earth.The other problem which i think is serious is the CO2 emissions from the cars which are growing with every day and they are the reason to be afraid of Global warming.The peoples now think how to make eco cars and to make everythink ecological , which is good idea but maybe impossible , in the world there are now thousands of cars which are working with eco fuel .. In my own way i can start saving a water , riding a bike to work instead of car or using public transport , saving electricity and many other things :)

Hi! I think as for me, I'll plant more trees. We are over populating the mother earth now a days. People are inhaling less oxygen and exhaling more carbon dioxide which is not good for the atmosphere. Mix it with other poisonous chemicals from the plantations and large companies, and some things we use at home or outside our houses, such as smokes from the vehicles, and refrigerators. People now a days uses thing that can be irritant to our mother earth. And the only way I know to help is to plant more trees. More trees can be a big help to produce more oxygen and balance the imbalance atmosphere that we have now. :)

reduce, recycle and reuse. it may be a cliche but if everyone is doing it, we could create a big change.

that's a great topic. i agree with you same with here i experience that case we are lacking of water in this place because of El Niño. and having an earthquakes to some province and also in the some cities. for me the way to prevent that all cases is to cherish our country, preventing to cut tress and avoid spreading garbage. in this two ways we can decrease some bad cases in our countries. i hope we care our country to develop our very own. take care always guys to prevent some accident to our places. and also pray to god to help us. thank you. that's great topic.

our planet is in danger, it is because of the high technology we are living right now. because of the worlds changing in new generation wherein technology takes place, this is what we get for all those technology. all we have to do is go back to the basic, live a simple life, recycle, lesser the technology we are using that can cause radiation, plant trees and stop the smoke that comes out from the factory. too much vehicle also affecting the environment because of the smoke that comes out. be a responsible owner of those vehicles, clean as often as possible.
