is One piece better than Naruto?  

I personally find OP to be better than Naruto at almost everything. OP's story, themes, characters and fights are more enjoyable and interesting than Naruto's and while both anime suffer from fillers and bad animation (most of the time), even then OP's seem marginally better.

The downside to One Piece though is that the art is an acquired taste. It took me years before I could get past five chapters because the art just isn't my cup of tea, and the anime isn't that far off, so I'm guessing it's something that'll affect the watching masses too. Given how OP has consistently been the top Shounen Jump manga for years and have a high percentage viewership, I'd say what it does good trumps the time it takes for someone to get into the art, though.

Well, I think One Piece has more funny moments than Naruto, but Naruto has more "story" and value in it. One Piece is interesting in the sense that it makes my funny bones tickle and the characters are weirdo. Naruto, on the other hand, is more exciting since the story is more "realistic" than One Piece and the fight scenes are bombastic (if there's such word as that). I guess it depends on what you are looking for in an anime... If you're looking for fun and laughter - choose One Piece, but if you want excitement and story - choose Naruto... though they are obviously both fun to watch!

I watch them both. So, I want to tell you guys that I like them both and as far as I'm concerned, i can rank them at the same level. Naruto and One Piece have the same creator but ofcourse, they are different stories and I like ninja and pirate stories. Just the question/trivia/survey that just popped in my head right now. Which would FINISH first? One Piece/Naruto? Both of them do have a lengthy story! haha

I really can't tell what is better. I love the two of them. Maybe, one Piece has a greater story. I find it satiric in a way that it shows a typical government in our times. However, i like the also the story of Naruto since it is so lesson-giver.

i also watch both OP and Naruto... OP is definitely much better than Naruto! in terms of storyline, it's more interesting.. characters wise, OP has more cool characters (Luffy, Zoro, Ace and etc) and less irritating characters. Whereas, Naruto has fewer cool characters (Kakashi) and a lot of irritating characters (Sakura!!!!!!!)..

i personally like naruto than OP. i base my comments on their story.
i like the story of naruto, it is more touchy and heroin. the character were great and i can feel the intense of the story.. hehe..

I think it just comes down to preference. I'm not really a fan of either series so I can't really say. From my perspective, the two are kind of the same. The only difference is that one is about a bunch of pirates and the other is about a bunch of ninjas. But then again, most shounen titles follow the same formula.

I like both of them. They have different stories and different concept. They are both good in their own way. I wouldnt choose between them because they are different from each other. The writer and the people behind this animes are geniuses and I look up to them.. Enjoy watching. Just hope they can make the story faster... I hate to wait to watch just one episode every week its like a torture.

I mostly agree with what you said. I have seen both anime. OP's filler is much better or at least more interesting than Naruto's. But naruto's big moments are FAR better than OP's. Also Naruto has a better storyline. It makes more sense and sticks to the laws of it's own universe more often. If you are a big fan of bobobo bo bo bobo then you will probly like OP, but if you are into more serious things you will likely enjoy Naruto more. I for instance really like both, but as far as these two anime go, Naruto is better. Again, OP interesting filler and good nature is still very fun and good.
