| | No. You have some misunderstandings out there. "da" in "da youxi" doesn't mean the same as "da" in "da xiao"(the english equivalent for "da xiao" is "big and small". You seem to have some misunderstandings in sound. Each Chinese word has four different sounds. The first "da" should be pronounced as second sound to mean playing games while the second "da" is pronounced as fourth sound to mean big games. It may sound confusing. I hope i can make myself understood. | | | |

I have this doubt for so long...please do respond me with many more suggestions for numerics....does they mean some equivalents to english words as well? | | Sorry, i can't explain in Chinese, as using other languages than english is against mylot rules. Certain numbers do symbolize meanings. For example, the number "520" means "i love you" . "5""6" and "8" usually stand for something very good or a favorable situation, especially in wealth or career. While "4" and "7" have the opposite meaning, the former indicates "death" and the latter "anger", so these two numbers are avoided as much as possible. Many people don't want a phone number with "4" or "7" in it. But the site 4399.com you mentioned has no specific meaning. Sometimes we use numbers simply because it's easier to remember. | | | |
