i was just wondering if anyone knows how to clean up marks off a playstation 2 disc? i bought one second hand yesterday took it home put it in and it doesnt work properly and there is a smudge on the back of the disc, and ideas on how i can clean it?
i have heard that cleaing them with toothpaste can help but if u want u can but a reapair machine at walmart called digital inovation skip dr classic Dr. repair sytem (fixes scratches that can cuase disk to skip freeze or fail to play) its like 18 $ or if u have a local used cd or game place if u take it there they will clean it for u for like 3 $ ( at least that is what it costs here ) hope this helps

Try some car wax such as turtle wax. Rub it on the disc and let it dry completely then buff it off with a soft cloth. The wax will fill in most scratches as long as they are not too deep. It should work with any CD or DVD. I have used this method on some old discs and it always gave me a result. Hope that might be of help.
