running shoes mizuno or scott  email this discussion to a friend?

so i am a triathlete that means running cycling and swiming and i need your opinion on running shoes we have wonderfull shops you go there you choose a shoe type and you can try them on on a running track so i have been trying all sorts from nike to assics but always mizuno suited me best so first i have bought mizuno something (forgot it has been long time since those shoes) then i had mizuno mustang 5 for 1 year and they were great and now i have mizuno wave elixir 3. and they are great i like them more than elixir 4 (tried them too) but then i was second in a competition and i got scott makani 1 running shoes i didnt even find a price on the internet only for makani 2 . but i have tried running first with my mizuno today and then with makani and i like them both they are just great and i am wondering what do you think about it ?

Hiya xmlukax,

That sounds wonderful to be able to do that go and try sports shoes. I would alternate the two pairs if you like them so much and after all if they are for the same thing what´s the difference? Does one support your foot more than the other pair?.
I suppose the harder the ground you run on the more support you need so you suffer less impact on your knees and ankles. But if both do the same just wear them both one pair today another pair tomorrow. Triathlons are great to watch too but I don´t get to see very much of that.

the problem about running with one shoes today and the others tomorow is the thing that you legs arent used to that shoes which makes the running harder

Hiya luka,

Same goes for me when wearing ordinary Shoes too. As it is very hot right now I have bought two pairs of canvas sandals as they are open back and front and very easy on the foot not made for walking long distances though but walking with the harder soled shoes would cripple my feet as I walk up and down steep slopes. Exercise whether I want it or not but the best part is right now I can walk on the grass and there is less impact on my legs too. I love walking on grass it´s a sort of cushioned effect whereas with hard ground there´s no bounce back and you tire more easily. No wonder Runners and other athletes need those kind of shoes. I had only ever thought about it in my aspect of it in the sense of walking.
I had an athlete friend we grew up together and she lived just around the corner from me and then she did´nt have those kind of Shoes but she always did have a different muscular build to anyone else even before training. She now trains Athletes in London UK and she probably wears those kind of shoes all the time now.
When I say she had a different muscular build what I mean is she ran like a Gazelle already very light on her feet too whereas everyone else was already tired out. I suppose if you do swimming as well your whole muscular system reacts differently too when you suddenly have to start and get on a bike and then suddenly start running too.
I would just wear what feels right but then in the middle of a triathlon you can´t suddenly stop and get out another pair of shoes can you never thought of that one either.
