treatment for allergic rhinitis

i am having blocked nose and i am allergic to climatic changes. my nose gets severly blocked in cold. and when i get up in the morning from my bed and go out, i feel sneezing. what should i do.

do antihistamines work for you? i have allergic rhinitis, too, and usually a dose of antihistamine makes me feel better. here are a few other tips to consider, though:
1) cover your head with a bonnet when you sleep at night
2) rearrange your bed in such a way that your head is not directly under the windows
