Dear myLotters... We have heard a lot about love and trust and relationships.. No I am not ridiculing love. I am in love, already and I know beautiful it is to be in love. It is the best feeling of all... And yet, blind love can lead to the most unwanted, unforeseen and extremely tragic events... Here is a true story... A boy and a girl started dating.. John and Maria, let us assume their names for our convenience. Maria told John that it wasn't her real name and John was okay with it, he didn't feel good to ask WHY did she went with an assumed name? Things were going good, very good... Within months they were planning to marry... Once they decided to meet at her flat and have some fun.. John arrived at the appointed time. Maria let him in, made him sit and said she would be back. She had some work in kitchen, maybe! While John was waiting there, he found a short note which read: '...it'll be great to see you after so long time, have missed you a lot. Will meet you at your flat at 6 in the evening. Lots of love. Take care... Dave!' One can imagine, John got furious about it. He had been cheated, he felt. When she came in, he didn't ask her anything about it and decided to catch them red-handed. That day passed without any event. Next evening, John returned to her flat and waited outside the building. When he saw a young man entering her flat, he dashed forward and opened the door. He found both of them hugging each other.. Without a word or a thought, he stabbed the guy twice, furiously... The girl screamed and shouted, "Oh my God, you have killed my BROTHER!" It turned out later that her brother had been in prison and that's why she had changed her name... Her brother didn't die immediately, but on the way to hospital, he pardoned his sister's lover and didn't file a complaint with cops.. TRAGIC, right??? I felt dazed after reading this story and worse, it is no imagination of some clever writer, it is a REAL story... What would you comment upon this? Blind Love!! OR what? Have you ever come across such a story or situation? What would be your reaction, even if you were a simple spectator of the drama? Please share....

More than blind love i feel that its a mental illness in the case that you mentioned. The boy seems to be too much obsessed about that girl that he can even kill anyone for that girl without knowing the appropriate reason.Love should should be more of giving rather than taking. The first step of love is trust and i think if we blindly love a person then we should trust him or her blindly also. This is the ultimate meaning of blind love for me. take care bye

Love had nothing to do with it. It had Everything to do with trust or lack of it on Both sides. I can see Maria not telling him on the first date about her brother but as soon as they got engaged , she should have. And John should have asked about the note as soon as she got back in the room. This is sad story and the worse part is the couple may have loved each other but they couldn't trust each other.

Hi Sarah... Thanks for the most analytical response... I agree with you that complete frankness in a relationship is must... This frankness gives rise to trust and faith which form the basis for a relationship... This has been the most tragic story that I have ever come across...

Hi Sarah... I agree with you... One has to be true to one's love, always... I am glad that this has been in your life... and this is with me and my girl too... We trust each other, if we don't like anything, we simply talk about it and sort it out.. there is never a big quarrel over things... We love each other, we understand each other...

I agree. But I guess it could have been worse. The guy could have killed both his girl And the brother and then himself. There are stories like that here in the States. It is always sad. Thanks for the best response. I guess the moral of this story Is to be truthful at all times , especially with a lover. I have learned with my guy that it Feels better to be truthful. I am lucky , he Sees me and loves what he sees.I hope you have the same relationship with your love.

That is a BIG problem today. People always jumping to conclusions was bound to have some terrible consequences. If I was the Maria I would have not been able to have another relationship. We need to start asking questions rather than jumping to conclusions. Happy MyLotting dl

Yes DL... I agree! John simply read the note and formed up his own conclusions and took his decision... I feel terrible for the brother, who had come to see his sister after years and at the moment of their re-union, he got killed by his sister's lover. How awful!! Thanks for sharing DL... It is good to read from you after a long time...

Well, this John bloke (same name as my hubby lol) had blind jealousy if you ask me, it wasn't love at all. For a start, if he was a rational person he would've thought to himself, "well, this note is there for me to see so it cannot be anything untoward." Tragic story, though. It really is.

Hiii Starmoon... I am sorry to reply this late... Thanks for sharing... I agree with you that Love isn't any kind of madness... It is a passion which arises from heart and drives away the negative emotions of fear and hatred... This has been the most tragic story ever... Yes, there is a good lesson for myLotters, as to one should always be open-minded and frank about such issues... Thanks again! Happy Lotting!!!
