Do you have a small business? |
| |
| I want to start a small business so that I will not ask money to my parents. But My problem is I don't have a big capital. Actually I'm just like a broker trying and hoping to earn some money. I'm currently a volunteer nurse and I only get food allowance, no salary at all. So I really need some part time job or business for my needs and I don't Wanna ask money to my parents anymore... Any suggestion fellow pinoys? | | | | | |

| | Maybe you cold consider borrowing some amount from your parents or it might be better that you start a business with your parents, a family business. It really doesn't have to be big so you won't need a big amount. If you're got some ideas already, open it up to your parents. Start small, manage it properly, and sooner or later, it will grow and maybe in that time you could start your own business already (if you really want to have your own alone). Here are some ideas that I can think of (I'm not into business but I'm planning to start one in the future, a small one too at least to provide me some income): [1] Go buy and sell. Clothes is the very thing that comes into my mind when it comes to buy and sell. Clothes aren't expensive and they could be sold easily if it looks good and is comfortable. [2] Start a sari-sari store or eatery. These two never goes out of style. Sari-sari store provides easy access to basic commodities while eatery is good because people loves to eat. If your parents has a good amount, maybe starting a mini grocery store but this one really needs a lot of feasibility study. The larger the capital involved, the larger the risk. [3] Service business. Are you good at something? Maybe dancing? Mathematics? Or anything? You could render your service by teaching people your skills. Be a tutor maybe to your nephews and nieces, cousins, and all of your relatives on your free time. If you're really good at something, try setting up a training center, maybe at your own house perhaps. In fact, this is the kind of business that I'm planning to start later on. If you'll get lucky, you might not need to shed a lot of capital just to get this started. There are a lot of things to do business with, as Steven Seagal said in one of his movies, you can find opportunities everywhere. Just keep an open mind and eyes. Soon enough, you could find something worth investing. | | | | | | |

| | You have great ideas... But I can't depend on my family now... They already have a business and the income is not enough sometimes. So I don't wanna increase their burdens and don't wanna ask allowance from them anymore. BuT still hoping I can earn money and start something good. Good luck to your plans. | | | |

| | Hi vycess. Same here, I am also a Nurse and I understand what you are trying to say. Thank God that I earn a good amount as a Nurse comparing with others. Just like you, I also want financial freedom and I recently joined an MLM business. A multilevel marketing business wherein we earn either through selling products or recruiting others. As of now, it looks good. I see myself in the next few years successful because of being optimistic and determined towards my goal. So if you are really decided to earn a good amount of money, don't be afraid to risk. You will not see any results if you will not try... | | | | | | |

| | Well, I signed up under you on a lot of the programs you participate in. At this point I would suggest continue participating in stuff and add to your blog. Also, search for blog catalogs, blog directories, and submit your blog to them. Start getting your blog's page rank up. Try to add some more words to it so that it can be found easier in search engines. Doing this will increase your traffic and amount of referrals/views. If you want to try affiliate marketing, I can coach you on that. It takes time, but it's better to start now then wait a month and wish you would have then. I hope this helps. | | | | | | |

| | Hello vycess. If you have constant internet access, you can also try transcription. It's not that difficult to do you just have to encode mostly messages on voicemails. You can apply as transcriber through Quicktate. You can look for it on the web. Also, if you can write, you can apply for online writing jobs like what I am currently doing. I can send you a list of good writing sites available to Filipinos like us. So far, I have not had any experience with scammers, and I am glad. Foreigners are easier to please you know. And the pay is definitely good. I now average $200-300 in 15 days for my writing and transcribing jobs combined. I have also recently joined sites which accept reviews in the UK and they also pay cents like here on myLot but in pounds, mind you. So there, good luck, and hope this helps. | | | | | | |

| | Hi there! It's a good thing you're a business minded like myself. When I graduated from college, I borrowed some money from my parents and relatives. I started my very own business. It was great and later on I manage to pay them back after a year. So you can try it also. JUST REMEMBER: 1. Borrow only the money that you know you can pay 2. When starting a business, study it a million times before investing so that your money wont go in to waste. | | | | | | |

| | vycess, Besides being short of capital to start a business, I am wondering if you are short of ideas and experience to embark on a business venture. I am saying this because I am not familiar with you and if you are really cut to run a business on your own. I just hate to see you give up your current job and pursuit for something which is an uncertainty for you. Entrepreneurship is not something you enter with a half ignited flame of interest or ill-knowledge, so I would suggest that you try to learn more on your free time about what you would like to do and take up. Find out about current trends, market studies, consumer behavior and available financial resources for your business setup. You may also start writing out your business plan to help yourself with this setup. I hope that you can consider what I have said here and if possible see you successful with your dreams. Take care. | | | | | | |
