| | You should format your PC deleting all the partitions: a) The windows partition b) The Linux partition c) The OS selection screen partition (It is some MB or KB but you will see it when you try to manage your partitions) | | | | | | |

| | You have to boot your pc using windows xp cd, you will get the option for recovery console, then you will get, you will get a command prompt where you have to type a command fdisk /mbr and reboot your computer and you will be able to go to windows without any boot selection ... | | | | | | |

| | you can do one thing. you logon on windows xp and follow these steps. -right click on my computer icon and click properties. -find the advanced tab and click on this. -click on settings button in startup and recovery title. -there on top select the default operating system as windows. -uncheck the time to display operating system check box. press ok and ok your work will be done. | | | | | | |

| | your tips was very usefull. i followed the steps and it worked. but i found that instead of uncheck the time to display, there is a edit option. in that i edited the notepad appeared, i deleted the unwanted OS in that notepad(kubuntu), now the selection screen is not appearing. thankyou for your valid response. | | | |

| | windows xp works the best for that so ur deffinatly headed in the right track... maybe u can try reformatting ur compuer system, right when u turn on ur computer (if i can remember correctly) i think ur supposed to press either F3 or u can press F12 on ur keyboard but keep pressing ONE of those keys really really fast keep tapping it untill a display screen shows up on ur monitor. once the display screen shows up then u configure ur settings to ur computer. once ur done doing that, u save ur settings and then u reboot ur computer. it should be able to go right to ur desk top. then u do a system update and wait for the update to finish loading and then u can try removing the os selection screen.. or it might remove it automatically after u update ur system depending on what kind of hard drive u have for ur computer. but u might have to confirm it after the update. if u try that and that doesnt work, u might need to transfer all of the things uve downloaded etc. (all of the stuff u want to keep) to an external drive (an external drive is almost exactly like a hard drive, except it holds waayyyy more RAM and u never have to update it.) and then u clear ur hard drive (delete as much as u can off of ur hard drive so that u will have more space on ur computer and so that ur computer will run faster and better). but u MIGHT need to get a new hard drive if ur not able to update ur computer system. once u have done that all of that, then u install wut u need on it (like ur browser etc.) and then ur finally done. its a long complicated process and might take some time to get it to work. ive been fixing computers for acouple years now so i know quite abit of computers. anyways, best of luck to u on fixing ur computer. | | | | | | |
