| Dog and cats as pets  | | | |  Dog and cats are intelligent animals. I say this because I have a pet dog who can do a lot of tricks. I know it is not uncommon as dogs can be trained, taught some tricks and are loyal pets, thus they are "man's best friend". But what concerns me is my cat. With the love and care I showered on her, feeding her to her heart's content, she gave back my kindness by keeping the house rodent free, doesn't steal food from the table or anywhere but just wait until food is given her. She always goes to the same spot I assign for her to pee. One time when she was pregnant and about to delivery her kittens, she gave a weird cry as if telling me to open the door to my bedroom which I did and there she gave birth to 2 lovely kittens. And there had been so many instances that she could almost always understand what I want her to do or to go as if we speak the same language. Is you cat like this?

| |  I have 4 cats. They are all full of feline fun and intelligence. They can make me go ugh sometimes eg when they sick up a hairball or bring me a 'present' of a headless mouse but mostly they cause me to laugh everyday. Yes and I helped the mother of the 3 brother and sisters to birth them so I've known 3 all their lives.

| | Ha ha ha! I like your phrase "...full of feline fun and intelligence"...totally describes our experience with pet cats. With regards to cat and dog relationship, the common perception is that they are mortal enemies of each other. But not with my dog and cat pets. My cat when she was little was given to me as a gift by a friend. She was such a cute and fragile little thing then and every time she sleeps she cuddles up beside my dog or on top the dog and the latter surprisingly was so accommodating to allow it. | |  I love cats nut unfortunately I also always get some female cats.The sad thing is that they are all the time pregnant and I really don't know what to do with kittens. My last cat couldn't bear alone and I had to help her pulling the babies out as she was too young.I am not glad as I have two male cats and I won't have these problems soon.
