Skin ID by Neutrogena |

| i am so loving this product! i have psycho sensitive skin and everything i tried would break me out more or make my face turn red and swell up freaky.. well i was able to stand their regular skin care line but still needed more and was thinking about going with Proactiv since its been around so long and etc but figured if i already knew Neutrogena did ok on my face to stick with it. their little skin id test is actually in depth as far as you putting in where you break out, type, etc which i figured it would be a joke or silly.. got my numbers but then the site kept breaking down lol.. finally got it and then started it up about a week ago 2 x a day and i swear my skin is already at least 80% or more clearer! i was worried because some of the stuff tingled and i was just waiting for my face to blow up like a balloon but nope it didnt and even though im not one to do a lot of upkeep or beauty stuff or makeup etc but this is definitely worth it! im just hoping i dont have to fill it as often.. have you tried Skin ID? and do you like it? or have you tried Proactiv? was it good? | | | | | |

| | How bad are your break outs? Mine are really bad, and are classified as cystic acne. They are deep within and whenever I try to squeeze, they discolor badly into dark spots. I have tried Murad and proactiv. It worked only for a few months. My skin adapted to it and didn't respond to it after wards. I even tried laser treatment called Isolaz, didn't work either. I did research and discovered that with cystic acne, you should consistently peel the outer layers of skin preventing bacterial entrapment. With peels it consistently reveals new skin. What happened was that I didn't do monthly peeling and put whatever on my face and use different over the counter facial remedy. I spent a lot like $$$ (those with known brand names) hoping my face will get better. But it didnt! I went to an Esthetician who performed isolaz acne laser treatment on my face. She took before and after pictures every session, after the third, she didnt see improvement and recommended to switch to peeling. We tried once, but I noticed that I didn't peel at all after she told me that on the third day, my face will dry up and start peeling. What I did, combining my research and her peeling recommendation, I risked ordering salicylic acid with 30% peel solution online. I apply it once a week. What I noticed is that my cystic pimps comes out the following day or two, I can literally squeeze them without exerting too much force. Peeling isnt that obvious and I like it. I maintain my face with a mild facial cleanser, followed with an astringent/toner (I get it from my dermatologist). I alternate retin-A cream and whitening cream( from the dermatologist) every night. I use moisturizer and sunblock during the day. The advise that I can share is that, buying all those expensive over the counter facial creams that promise younger looking and better looking skin don't really work unless you peel off those excessive accumulated dead skin cells and reveal the new skin. Only the new skin absorbs the creams and others that you put on the face. Dead skin cells don't allow absorption, they only collect bacteria, clog pores, suffocate the skin by preventing it to breathe thus making you look old. It is very important that you undergo peeling once in a while. Also, ofcourse, you have to know your skin problem. It took me years to know mine. But the basics of taking care of our face are: do peeling every now and then, so that whatever you. Also, always use moisturizer and sunblock. Eye creams too! | | | | | | |

| | I have seen those Skin ID commericals for a while. A long time ago I took their quiz to see what numbers I would be, but I didn't have the money to get it, so no I haven't tried it. I would like to, though. I tried Proactive, but only for a couple of days. I stayed with my cousin, she had it and told me to try it while I was there (it works well for her), but that was only for three days. In that short of a time, I didn't notice a difference, but I know with most of that stuff you're supposed to try it for atleast two weeks to see results. | | | | | | |

| | I used to have skin break outs when I was in the university. After college, I only have occassional pimples but I always have whiteheads under my chin and nose which irritates me. My pills work wonders because it totally removed my pimples at my back but my whiteheads are always around like forever. I also have small freckles, fortunately I don't have zits. I haven't tried Skin ID and Proactive. I just want a product that would remove my whiteheads and little imperfections. Maybe I'll check Skin ID's label. | | | | | | |
