What cartoons do you think should be on television that are not right now? |
| |
| I think if is a shame that Looney Tunes are not aired anywhere on television. They were back on Cartoon Network for a few weeks but then they were taken out. Many people had to have missed that they were back. It is a shame that these classic cartoons are not aired on television. There is an entire generation of children who are missing out on Looney Tunes due to them not being aired on television. So how about you? Do you think that there are any cartoons that it's a shame that are not on television and thus children these days are missing out on them? Looking forward to reading your responses. | | Looney Tunes | | | | |

| | Inspector Gadget ruled. Plus it did have one of the catchiest theme songs for cartoon. You could get that thing stuck in your head for days on end. I remember like when I was in the first or second grade, it was on right when I got home from school, so it was the first thing that was on right when I got out of the door. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks. | | | |

| | Yeah, but at least you did not randomly start humming it in the middle of class at school like I did one time. That was quite embarrassing. Although not as nearly as embarrassing as the time I started singing the Captain Planet theme song(the one at the end) for no reason, despite having not watched the cartoon in many, many, many years. There's another theme song that once it gets in your head, it's going to be a while before it gets out and it always seems to be buried in your subconscious. | | | |

| | Hey Inspector Gadgets and Captain Planet. Its been so long that I have seen the cartoons that I had even forgotten about them. But yes I miss them on T.V. They were awesome. No cartoons they show now are as good as these. | | | |

| | There was a whole list of cartons that I got up on Saturday morning to watch as a kid. Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Smurfs,Strawberry Shortcake, Scooby Doo, just to name a few. Kids today miss out on so many of the great classics that they have taken off the air. I think it would be great for kids today to have these shows and not so many of the violent things they watch. | | | | | | |

| | That is true, there are so many great cartons that aired. In fact, getting up on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons is pretty much a thing of the past. Saturday morning cartoons is a thing of the past as with many of the classics. The only cartoon these days that I think will be named up there with the classics that aired in recent years would be Spongebob. Others would be lost in history, like I am sure so many others. I don't even think there is any Scooby Doo on Cartoon Network anymore and very little Tom and Jerry. Which is such a shame. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and contributed to this topic well. Have a nice day and thanks. | | | |

| | OMG, I was just thinking about the old cartoons I watched when I was a kid (in depth) last night. There were SO many good cartoons in the 90's. >w< I wish Angry Beavers, (the original) Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Tiny Toons, Timon and Pumbaa, Carebears, Fraggle Rock, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers and the Wild Thornberries were still on, just to name a few. I think those shows are much better than the ones they show these days, but maybe that's just my bias, lol. | | | | | | |

| | Yes, I think we always look more fondly of our childhoods but still the point stands. It is a shame that so many children will not get to watch this animation classics. Unless they get the DVDs, but that can be a costly process to acquire those and many cartoons are taking forever to get everything. I'm still waiting for the last season of Darkwing Duck to come out on DVD, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic as well. Have a nice day and thanks. | | | |

| | I vaguely remember that one as well. Can't recall how much I liked it, but I remember watching it. Then again, there were a lot of cartoons that were on during that era that I watched and I am sure I forgot about at least half of them. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks. | | | |

| | Other than cartoons such as Batman The Animated Series which only had a few seasons and Justice League, I think every other cartoon on today is crap, I think Spongebob is crap too, it's like they are dumbing down our kids, I mean the new batman cartoon "The Batman" that is a complete joke, but if your really stressed that Looney Tunes aren't on anymore people can always buy them on dvd somewhere I'm guessing...but I do long for the cartoons of the 1980's and early 1990's, I miss Jem, and Teen Wolf, and the Gummy Bears, and lots of other ones. | | | | | | |

| | I believe a fair bit of Looney Tunes are on DVD but it would be nicer if they were on television. Still, these days, cartoons that are going to be remembered, whether it be for good or otherwise are really a dime a dozen. I mean, can you really see much today being remembered fondly or otherwise? I am sure there is some decent moments but there is just a lot of the cut by the numbers. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks. | | | |

| | Yes, some pretty good cartoons. If only half of the cartoons were half of the quality these days. Perhaps it is because I am outside the target audience these days but still when I do see the old stuff, it holds up. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. | | | |

| | Maybe you are right. We are out of the target audience and therefore we dont end up liking the shows. | | | |

| | I LOVE some of the responses...especially "Inspector Gadget"! I miss the old cartoons like Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes and Woody Woodpecker...OH! did anyone ever watch "Johnny Quest", or am I showing my age? LOL Those were the days when you could come home from school and watch shows and your parents wouldnt have to worry about anything inappropriate showing up... | | | | | | |

| | I remember Johnny Quest. That used to be on Cartoon Network when it first came in the air. They aired a lot of old stuff that has faded into obscurity. Space Ghost was another cartoon that I remembered that does not really get talked these days. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks. | | | |
