Have you read "Life's little instruction book" by Jackson Brown?

I liked some of his thoughts on how to live life, but not all. I think that we should experience all the joys and sorrows of the life, we must have our own thinking on what is right and what is wrong. If there's everything is prescribed, how one can learn some lessons from life? Some lessons of life cannot be taught, we must learn it our self. What do you think about this?
