Have you read "Life's little instruction book" by Jackson Brown?  

i have that little book, too. i read it around 2001/2002, i think. i can't seem to remember the contents anymore. maybe because they're mostly one-liners. sorry. but i did like it at that time. after that, i discovered robert fulghum's books and like them more. i have most of his books, actually.

i agree that we should experience the highs and lows of life. it challenges us and helps us grow. it develops empathy and the desire to help others.

deciding what is right and wrong should also give consideration to how it affects other people. the values and teachings we were taught at home and at school have to be reassessed as time goes by and the world at large changes.
