The signs of summer  

It's in the 90's here to, I am in Virginia, there are a lot of bugs and flys so i know summer is not too far away, I like summer, because I know it's time to go on vacation soon.

The weather here in Idaho has been crazy. We had snow earlier this week (I know it is May) and now it is only 60 degrees outside. Usually when spring and summer hit we see a lot of robins. We also smell a lot of skunks.

The first signs of summer approaching for me in New Mexico is the tree thats that are all blooming already, the loud chirping of the bird, the rabbits running around along with the road runners. Also being able to leave the doors open to let air in because the house is getting warm. We wait to we can't take the heat to put the air on. Its just to save on the bill. I think I could live most of the summer without it because once it goes on I will be cold and everyone else will be comfortable. I actually will go outside to warm up.

It's been in the low 50 here and I am waiting for summer to come around , hope is will be sooner than later.

Hi Missybear! I don't actually realized what is the signs of summer here in our place. As far I know it's getting hot everyday; I want to drink more liquid now and then as if my throat is drying up. There's no rain, the place is so dry. That's all, it is so good to know that you have this signs. I had never thought about that. Maybe I'll try to look around if we have the same signs. Summer is about to end. happy mylotting!

WE are in the middle of the terrible heat of summer. In our country when summer is approaching, ants are coming out together with some insects...they are collecting and saving foods for the rainy days. crickets are creating sounds and noise and even snakes are coming out of their "haven".

it's already summer in our part of the world. in fact, it was already hot as early as march. this year's summer is much hotter than normal, the complete opposite of the devastating floods last year, and has taken its toll on farmlands, livestock, and people. the rotating brownouts and water rationing here in the city makes people more hot-tempered than ever.

when i ate at a fastfood restaurant the other day, the dining crew was going around giving glasses of cold water to customers. i was so glad of the store's initiative to help people avoid heatstroke.

what i like about summer here is the colors. the color of the flowers and fruits in season is a joy to see, especially in the provinces.

Sign of summer here in the Philippines is when you see a lot of people coming out in flesh. It could be in a beach, pool, resorts, but anywhere in the country. even if im at home.., i would love to be in flesh because its really really getting hot in here during summer. And sad thing is, a lot of people got a heat stroke because of this super hot summer. So be careful and protect yourselves from too much heat.

Oh if only things could be so black and white with regards to summer in England!!

Our summer can last a week or several months, blink and you might miss it!!

This year ( yet again) 'they' are predicting a wonderful summer - we shalkl see.

Really this is still spring for us now, but it has been really pleasant and people have their barbecues out and their parasols up. The spring flowers are just going now but there are bluebells everywhere and all the birds are very busy building their nests.

My garden is beginning to look bright and colourful , I a happy as this is the first year that I have had blossom on my pear trees so I am looking forward to some pears in the autumn.

Hopefully we'll be getting some really nice weather and getting the chance to top up our rust into a tan!!

The signs of summer of girls in very short and tight shorts. People having BBQ in their back yards, and in the park! people also having water ballon fights in the park etc! These are all the things that people do around here in the summer !
