If you like reading books like Stephen King why not try reading a book by the author Dean Koontz -0 he writes good thrillers with plenty of suspense and also some humour in them.
The last Koontz book that I read was 'Your Heart Belongs To Me' about a man who has a heart transplant and then get's stalked by a woman who looks remarkably like the donor of that heart!!
Other good books from him are 'Intensity' and 'Life Expectancy'.
Have you any good book ideas for me?

Hey, oldchem1. I really like Stephen King even though I haven't read many of his books all the way through. I think I read one Dean Koontz book, years ago, but I couldn't tell you the name of it.
There are a couple of things that I might recommend to you. First off, have you tried any of King's books that aren't horror? There's a great book of his called "From a Buick 8." Technically, there are horror elements, but overall it was more about the slowness of life. It was really beautifully written, and even though not much actually happened, I couldn't put it down.
There's also another book of his that's actually a compilation of short stories, ranging from about ten pages to fifty-five or so at the longest. Most of them are horror-y, but it's amazing to see what he's able to accomplish in such a short amount of time.
For some lighter fare in a similar style, try Christopher Pike. He's mostly for the young adult crowd, but he has a few that are for adults. Also, strangely enough, R.L.Stine even has an adult book, "Superstitious." It's not really that good, but he made a valiant effort. Hope this helps.

I have read Dean Koontz. He is entertaining but not nearly as good as you think he is going to be. I am usually alittle disapointed as I am with Stephen King's books. There were afew I really enjoyed and they actually played out but those were his earlier ones. Then I think he got so popular and had deadlines and let this reader down on several occasions.

I likes Stephen King a lot and his books too, they are thrilling and page turning and I never miss an opportunity to buy a book by him. He is one of my favorite authors. And yeah I also have Dean Koontz book "Winter Moon" at home. It is a marvelous one. Try it. The characters Eduardo, Jack McGarvey are wonderful. " The voice of the night", "Shattered", "Night Chills" are very good one too.

I used to love Stephen King.I was a big fan of his, because I was into horror. My favorite was "Pet Cemetery".I saw the movie, but also read the book. The book is just as good as the movie.I read the book before the movie and I visualized what was going on,and my visualization was pretty accurate to the movie. He's great at describing the events taking place in the book.
