Yes, it is officially confirmed that there is a survivor in the earlier air crash in Tripoli, Libya. A Dutch boy, believed to be between eight and ten years old, is being treated at a Tripoli hospital after he was flung clear by the explosion as Afriqiyah Flight 8U771 disintegrated just one metre from the runway. He appears to have escaped with minor injuries including broken bones. He is expected to survive. This is indeed the first bright and happy news for a depressing day. This is so sad. Amazing that this little boy survived. May God bless him. If the plane broke up as it took off it may be an act of of terrorism.

cynthiann, I have my suspicions too since reports had it that the plane actually exploded when it was trying to land in Tripoli. Explosion is the last thing one would expect during a landing and this is just indicative that there's explosives involve. This boy being flung to a distance also indicate that the plane exploded before touching down and I just cannot rule out my suspicion. But amidst all these, I am expecting the press to be much toned for diplomatic and political reasons. Also, I wonder if you had heard or not, that there were executions carried out on survivors of the other air crash that claimed the Polish premier and his government officials. If this is true, I just cannot imagine what the consequences to be like and an imminent war.

cynthiann, Well, it has been reported on the Daily Mail UK (see link below) and it is quite unbelievable. I hope that it is as what the Russians claim - a propaganda or I just hate to anticipate what this might lead to. I am sorry to hear that your country is also in a mess and along with whatever is happening in the Middle East, Greece and Thailand - Gosh! Is this a meltdown? Many thanks. I read the link - and I really do not know what to believe. It may be propaganda or it may have really happened. I too hope that it is propaganda. There is certainly a meltdown in the world. I am taking precautions with extra food and water. Not sure what will be happening in the next few weeks.

you seem to be following up the air crash very anxiously. And, YOUR prayers for survivors have payed fruit. It is people like you, who make the world a peaceful place. My respects and THANKS to you friend. The magic of GOD, almighty .. is proven,. Who survives such an explosion? But, the same explosion of the airplane helped this boy survive, by being flung away from the fire-engulfed airplane. Keep praying.

consultrainer, My exact sentiments here, and thank you for your kind words. As, I do not know how extensive are his injuries or loss of his family, I really hope that he will survive and that there will be people to care and look after him when he fully recovers. My prayers are with him and families of the deceased as well.

not just this accident, let us all join in PRAYER to avoid all possible natural or man-made errors and accident. The boy is shown on TV here too, and he seems to be recovering from fractures and trauma. Thanks for the love on humanity.
