I typed a response before I left for work this morning but I got disappointed when the internet gave an error message when I posted my message. I am back now to hopefully post my response because I think this is an interesting topic.
I think the limit of languages learned depends on the capacity of the human brain. This capacity is different from person to person. Another factor is the extent of exposure of the person to a specific language. If a person has learned a language but not use it all the time then it will be harder to become fluent on it. One who travels a lot will have a higher chances of language mastery over the other who just stay in one place. This is because there would be a lot of possible interactions during the travel and one can always apply the language when he goes to other places and hear the native tongue.

ya..i do think so..there was a commentator that knew about 7 languages.i can't remember all but he got no problem when there's an event going on in my country.he is so talented when it comes to languages.i envy him..he also don't have any problem to communicate..but i do believe at least we need to know two languages which is english and our own language...don't u think so?

it is easy to learn languages for somebody when difficult for somebody.for me,it is very difficult to learn another language.i study english very hard, but so far my english is still very poor.what is more, although i have studied english so many years,i have few chance to use my english.and slowly i forget it.i think languages only are used frenquently by someone and she/he the person maybe will master the languages.if you don't use it,you can't master a language.

I also do love to learn several different languages and I also tried to learn Japanese because there are a lot of good movies from them and I wanted to watch them without reading a sub. To learn multiple different language will take years and I guess the best method to learn is to go directly on that country speaking the language and try to communicate to as many individual.
