Do you love hip hop?

I just don't love hiphop. I live it. I've been part of the culture since I was a kid and I'm fascinated with how it started and developed. I still enjoy listening to the pioneers Grandmaster Flash, Grandmaster Caz, Kool Moe Dee, KRS-One and the list goes on. Today I think hiphop has become too commercialized and most people don't even know what it's about. Hiphop was started to reduce the violence and now all these rappers are using it to promote violence and other bs topics so I still listen to my old school tapes and will keep doing it. The late 80's/early 90's were the best years for the hiphop culture in my opinion. Then all the bs started with east coast vs. west coast and since then hiphop has never been the same. There are still underground artists today making some good music with lots of soul, but hiphop has seen the best days in my opinion. So keep the old school alive !
