Exercise in the Morning or Afternoon?  |

| As we grow older health issues starts to come in whether you like it or not. Aging is certainly part of life. Maintaining our weight by having a healthy habit like exercise prevents our body system to deteriorate. For instance, when you sweat, it tends to decrease the risk of you acquiring diabetes. So for all of us who want to live longer exercise and workout is a necessity. What time do you prefer to do your healthy habit? Am or pm? For me, I prefer to do it in the morning because of the breeze and the full amount of energy that I acquired from sleeping. Also, it hones our discipline in dozing off early for us to be able to catch the sunrise. Perfect morning indeed. | | | | | |

| | I used to do it both in the morning and afternoon before. My usual routine would be jogging for a few kilometers early in the morning then go home to start my day and do various activities in the afternoon. Because of some time constraints, I changed my routine and no longer exercise in the morning because I have to go early to work. My activities all fall in the evening now and as of now, my whole week is full and I only rest during weekends. I've read in different articles that it really doesn't matter as to what time should we exercise. What's important is that we do it consistently to keep the body at it's good level and increase and keep the metabolism high. Martial arts plays most part of my exercise regimen. I do martial arts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I'm going for a swim. Fridays is usually my heaviest day because I go swimming at around 6 in the evening and do taekwondo at around 9 in the evening. During Saturdays, I really don't do much so I could give my body some ample time to rest so I just lift some weights in my room. Though I'm giving myself some time to rest, I really don't stay dormant and basically do nothing. A good, moderate walk is also something that I do during weekends should I have not have a lot to do. To couple my exercise, I follow a much healthier diet. A good diet and constant exercise really pays off a lot and in just a few weeks, I was able to feel some results. Ideally, I really prefer to exercise early in the morning so I could put my body in a good position for the rest of the day but doing it at night or late in the afternoon isn't that bad either. | | | | | | |
