It is bit piece o psychology. We here the same usage from our very childhood and become habituated and felt experienced. Tea is said to have certain refreshing ingredients too. A cup of water substance in our body will make an immediate relax and we connect it with head ache. Therefore, after having a tea you feel better. Now you are relaxed and feels free of you head ache.
Is it true?

Hey there,
I guess the person above is correct about having a cup of tea is just a psychology. A headache may have different causes, for example, if you were to bang your head really hard then you are going to get a massive headache, and those are the hardest ones to get rid of. I find it best to have a lie down in a quiet place, maybe put an ice pack on your head and have a few pain killers. But a headache from something such as being around loud music is usually solved by a few pain killers and staying in a quiet place, although pain killers do take a while to start working :( .
Lee.
