By type I mean format. 2) Is there any free hosting service that has "No Forced Ads", Good "Space" and allows google adsense. | | I wouldn't advice you to do so. You loose many privileges and SEO techniques. One of the most important ones is the domain. If your site has a free domain like this: make-money-online.thefreehostcompany.com no one will search google for "make money online ithefreehostcompany" Plus at your domain/host you can do WHATEVER you wish (as long as it is legal of course) | | | | | | |

| | there are hosts out there with $2 per month. I am sure that if click at 2 PTC sites and you have at least 10 referrals at both of em you can easily cover the expenses | | | |

| | from what I remember 000webhost is elite. THeir affiliate program though is scam. Then you can get a co.nr free domain redirect BUT you have to put a small banner of them at your blog/site | | | |

| | co.cc used to offer free subdomains with no ads at all. I used that with 000webhost until I got my own hosting and bought a few domain names. Now, I'm using earnings from Mturk to pay for them. A couple of hours of work is all it takes to pay the monthly costs. | | | |

| | Hi, While I too recommend using your own domain and hosting when/if possible I do have to disagree with part of your statement: "If your site has a free domain like this: make-money-online.thefreehostcompany.com no one will search google for "make money online ithefreehostcompany"" You're right that no one will search for "make money online ithefreehostcompany" but they will search for 'make money online' - and if you set your site up properly: keywords, links, etc then that site/page will appear in the search engines regardless of what the actual domain name is. A good domain name will help of course but it's not the most important factor. In fact in one case I have a very generic domain name but that still ranks for what I want it to rank for and the actual domain name has nothing to do with it. Though as someone else mentioned for professional reasons a free domain name doesn't look very good, and while getting your own domain and hosting doesn't cost all that much nowadays for some it's still more than they can afford or are willing to invest from their own money so free is the way to go to start with. | | | |

| | If you want to add a blog to your own site, you can download Wordpress. Then you will need to find a free host which allows PHP and MYSQL such as Freehostia. If you visit the website, co.cc, you can sign up for a free domain. Since this will be your own website, you can add Google Adsense. | | | | | | |

| | Hi, The best format for blogging in my opinion is wordpress. You will need to find a host that is wordpress ready or has mysql so you can upload it though (wordpress.com doesn't allow advertising) I'm going to disagree with the posters above me - while having your own domain and hosting is the best way to go - if you're just starting out using a free host and don't want to invest any money until you're ready (have already earnt/sure that this is the way you want to earn online etc) then there is nothing wrong with using a free host. From memory freehostia.com doesn't put any of their ads on your site, but if you do a search I'm sure you'll find more. While having your own domain does help with SEO if you spend the time to research keywords etc then having a free hosting domain isn't going to be a huge problem with seo. It's been a long time since I used free hosting, but it's how I started - and now I have several domains on my own hosts etc. | | | | | | |

| | Hi, As far as I know there's no technical reason why you shouldn't use a free host when it comes to seo, the only problem you really face is that some readers/visitors may be put off by the fact that it's a free host so it doesn't look at professional. But depending on the topic of your blog/site then I can't even see that as being a major problem. The only time it might be a real problem is if your site was handing out monetary advice etc - people might wonder why you are claiming to be an expert on earning online etc when you can't even afford your own domain/hosting - however if your site is on dogs for example then it really makes no difference. As for me it's been awhile since I started with free hosts and while I'd urge you to get your own domain/hosting as soon as possible (there really is more benefit to it in the long run) using free hosts is much the same - you just need to work on having good content and promoting it etc. | | | |
