urgent:!! is it safe to upload personal pic's/photos/stuff on facebook??????  

Basically, you have many options. One option would be to show your pics/personal stuff to everyone, and one would be to show them only to friends.

Unfortunately, Facebook isn't as safe as many thinks. In fact, they show all your personal stuff, even if you don't want to, about 1-6 times a year when they have some problems with their website...

If you don't put very personal stuff, and you put the option that only your friends can view them (even if sometimes others still can view them), then you should be pretty safe. I am not saying that Facebook is a scam or something, but that it's not at 100% safe neither...

I dont think its ever safe. I think you cant be sure of the safety of your files especially photos when you upload in the internet. People can easily copy those pictures and they can just do anything about it.

No its not safe, anybody can save your profile picture to his/her own computer. But if u still wanna put your picture in your profile, put your family picture or pic of you along with your friends or relatives. Hope you have understood now.

everytime you upload your picture over the internet then expect that kind of thought as we cant control the activities of other people online as long as you will not upload too explicit pictures that will make way to use by other people, in facebook you can choose whether you want your friends only or everyone nor even just you to view your pictures.

Well if you cant trust the site then dont put any pictures on facebook. I use facebook and even have some pictures on it. But I did not upload any. My friends who is uploading in their account and they send it to me. Well i guess its ok to have a picture on facebook but I dont put my real name and identity in facebook. Only my friends knows me that is why I'm not bothered at all having pictures in facebook. I'll just deny it. lol.

Yes it is safe to post your pictures etc on Facebook, just remember that it's only things that you want other people to view. There are privacy settings that you can use to allow only your friends to view certain parts of your profile page.
Too many people get requests for friends on Facebook from people they dont even know and click accept, just so it looks like you have many friends, this is a mistake, and pointless.
