My van is so beat up but hey its still running so I'll keep driving it  

I've never heard of those sites and would just think that they wouldnt really be legit and would be a waste of my time. I would feel pretty embarrassed writing on there about what I need and asking for help from strangers. As far as your motor goes ask the car repair man if he can get one used for you. Then they are usually only about $40 for a used motor. My exes pontiac sunfire he had for years used to have the motors go bad all the time and he had to get at least 3 different window motors in the course of the 8 years or so that he had his car.

sounds like you drove a junker as well but hey it got you around when you needed it. Yes my van amazingly is still running but I dont know for how long. It is really hard to get started the fuel injector doesnt work right so unless you keep your foot pressed down on the gas when you try to start it then it wont start. When its chillier like this it really doesnt want to sart. I'm worried in the winter time I wont get it started at all if it gives me trouble starting when its only le 50 out.

The van needs a new muffler right now. It sounds awful and it backfires so loudly all the time it scares me so badly. The drivers side window doesnt roll back up all the time so I wind up having soaked seats when I cant get it to roll back up. The windshield wipers only work half the time so if I drive in the rain it can be really hard. I have to go on a four hour drive one way this weekend and I dont think my van will make it that far so I have to borrow my husbands car from my father in law. After my husband died my father in law signed the van over to me. It was very nice of him.

This vans condition will never improve lol. It will only get worse. Its from 1994 and has been used as a family van then a work van now a family van again. I'm surprised it runs at all. I'm just saving up money and then when this one goes I'll have to go buy another used one that is newer then this one and in better shape.

Nice to hear about your van's story. But your van is very good enough to run very well, even though it is older, i think the proverb "Old is Gold" is very apt for your van, if you can kindly post the image of the van, as i am interested in watching it

The condition of the van has not improved but it still runs and gets me where I need to go. I cant drive to far with it. 2 hours or less or the exhaust gets so bad it makes us all feel like we are going to be sick. The windshield wipers only work about 50% of the time. The dashboard lights dont work. The turn signals stay on and do not blink. When the van quits I will be getting another one. I'm saving up money now. My husband died and so the kids and I get survivors benefits so I have more money now then when I wrote this post.
