I cant believe I am the first mylotter to comment on this article. I checked out the link you provided to read the full article. I think it is funny and ridiculous that they would want the money from a dead person for a book he failed to return 200 years ago. Who knows anyway it could be just a filing error. He could have returned the books and the librarian could have forgotten to report that it was back and maybe it got lost or stollen or something. Kind of pathetic to try to get money out of a dead person and go around ruining his name.
