Is money very important for us in the modern society??  

Of course it is..especially in our generation now,we can't have the things we wanted without paying the price tagged to it..even our basic commodities requires us to spend a lot of money for it..

blame it on marketing, consumerism, capitalism. people nowadays are becoming ever more chained to materialism. i myself admit that i had undergone this phase (and probably still am), but being a stay at home parent made me realize that i need to be free from material things, meaning it should not be my be-all and end-all.

but when it comes to necessities, yes, times are becoming very very hard and that gives more focus on earning money just to get by. sometimes i cant help but think people are getting to be very greedy and they only think about profit and all, so much that necessities have become very expensive.

let's just hope that we all realize this and try to shape our community towards something better.

Ya , money is everything to me . I live in this world just for money . So how can you imagine a life without money ? Without money , you don't even get some water to drink . As more the human being developed , the more grew his greediness for luxury . There has been sayings that people even with less money are happy but people with more money are sad . If it was true , 85% of the world would be happy . MONEY IS THE ONLY THING REQUIRED TO LIVE .

Its only a perception. Some people say that money is very important some would also say its not very important. I think people who are not satisfied with what they have and people who wants to have more and more are those who would say that money is very important.

without money you can't even get anything you like..

you will be needing money to continue living so we can also say that presence of money is important for us to live..
we can't buy food if we don't have money and if we are sick we can't go to the hospital without money and we can't but medicine for our sickness..
so for me money is very important, but don't think that money can replace life but the only thing that money can'y buy is life..

Hi devon0,I still remember the saying "money talks in society" that I had learned from my secondary school day. We realize that we can't live without any money in this modern society. We need money to spend on our daily expenses and make our living. This shows that how practical it's to apply this saying in our daily life. Therefore everyone has his own way to earn for his daily living.

Let say surfing net we need a pc as well as internet connection. Besides we need electric current to run the pc and the router. And we need money to spend on these for sure. Of course we need ample money if we wish to live a luxurious life for sure.

Money is indeed very important in our lives, it's a reality that we could never deny. Almost everything that is essential in the world now needs money. If we want a good house, we need money. For quality education, health care, basic commodities, and even recreation requires money. Though there are still a lot of things that really doesn't require money, most of the wants and needs now aren't for free. Money is very important in our lives because without money, we can't have a lot of great things that we desire or even need.

Many people say that money is the root cause of evil but unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), it's what makes our lives a lot better (if we have it). It's actually the love of money that makes it evil and not money per se. So how important money really is? It is basically the medium of exchange for almost everything. Without money, it's quite hard to exchange some goods and acquire what we want. It's the most commonly and widely accepted medium of transaction.

Lack of money leads to miserable lives. I've got to agree, lack of money leads to homelessnes, poor or lack of education, not getting good health care, and depriving one of the good things in life. Evil as it may sound but it's not really money's fault but the people's. If people would only work and strive hard to earn money, then everything will be a lot better.

Truly these days, money is very important. You cannot do anything without it. You cannot go anywhere without it. Everything is worth a money. We pay every small thing we need. As you said, prices get higher and higher everyday, that is why if you are jobless and you have a family, that is a big big problem. True enough that money is important.
