Do you like drinking some awful syrups when you have caught cold?  

well, I still remember how awful they were and I guess that they still are, and how disgusted I was every time I had to drink it :(
Now I don't need any syrups or any other midicines/vitamins just because I don't get sick, but ven then I driink only some tea or if it is something worse I take some antibiotics!

Well, let's all pray that we will always be healthy so that we don't drink that syrups or any antibiotics to help us well. I mean, being healthy is really good to make us all up and do our daily activities or routines really well.

yes, they are really useful otherwise people wont use them , but I don't like how they taste till date I have only once tried a syrup which was with a really good taste and I even wanted to drink it after I got better!

yes, they realy taste and soemtimes also smell awful to me when I was a child and I guess that will still taste that bad now, but fortunately I don't drink them any more, I guess I have drunk a lot of these syrups as a child and now I have a immunity against caughting cold

yes, I also remember how my mom made me drink them and then let me drink some juice in order not to vomit all of it on the carpet but as you tell, now I don't have todrink them, because I have as strong immune system and the cold, when I have some, just go away by its own, just like in your case, and maybe it is not the best way, but I just doslike medicines, i only drink some tea and that's all!

same as you, I had to drink something else or I would vomit
my doctor told me one time to take it easy with cold medicines. They are not good for your liver if you abuse the dose and if you drink the same cold medicine over and over again it will become part of your system and it won't work any more because your cold will know how to fight it. So don't drink the same medicine over and over again. I am old fashioned; so same as you I drink some tea, hot chicken soup or hot lemonade

I am fine too! well, Hot Lemonade soudns really weird. does it really help or you're just kidding, because I can try it next time I caught cold :)

No sweetie I am not kidding, is an old Spanish remedy from my granny.
It helps you because of all the vitamin C in the lemons, you don't have to drink it hot unless is winter time I love winter time, anyway it has to be homemade and not bought

yeah, the homemade lemonade is definitely much much better than the bought one, even the taste is comletely different, or at least itis here in my country :) well, as I told you, next time I will try it, hope it wont be really necessary

well, I wasn't sick that often as a kid, but every time I caught cold my mother supposed to bring me to doctor and he always gave me these syrups can you imagine how "HAPPY" i was to see him with the syrup or the recipe for it in hand hope iwill never have to drink them again

haha, guess you have a "sickness phobia" if there is something like that I also have drunk a sweet syrup just once, but I liked it really much. I can't actually remember what was its taste

well, I don't know what syrups are there now, because I haven't taken any since many years, but actually don't want to, because I guess I wont like them :) when my throat is sore, i only drink some hot tea or take some tablets

yes, my friend. I do it that way- when I am sick/have cold i only drink some tea and wait for it to go away, but I guess it is so becaues I have a strogn immune system and I easily get better, but if you think your immune system is not that well, you should not try i, because it can be dangerous for you!

well, about the doctor's instructions I am really not sure and can't agree, because i know many cases of wrong diagnoses with a lethal end and I really prefer to treat myself alone at home if it is not something serious then going to doctor :)

This is true as far as the mis-diagnosis, but as a kid my parents would say I had to take my medicine cause the doctor said so... To me as a kid my parents didn't know more than a doctor so I did what the doctor said. These days I can't afford health care so I can't even go to a doctor so they can tell me what to do. I usually just wait it out if it isn't too bad. But about once a year I get ONE REALLY BAD cold that confines me to my house for at least a week! The only way to get over it is with medicine.

yes, as kids we should listen to our parents, and do that what they have told us, but now when we are alerady adults, we can decide what to do by our own :)

well, i am really not sure what of these two would I prefer- the syrup or the injection because I was really scare of injection as a kid and the feeling itself, I know it wasn't something that painful, but i just hated it! maybe now I will choose the injection instead of the syrup
