| |  Yes, my friend it can be modded, why not search in google there are lot of ways to modded it. Actually I also know how to modded it and I have psp3000 I used chikhen to modded it.

Don't update to 6,30!
It will disable the running via Patapon 2 demo emulators!
If you still haven't heard you can youtube it.
With patapon 2 demo (you can download it from somewhere on the internet and just put it on your psp) and a special save game, that you will have to download you can run emulators and actually it is pretty nice. You will be able to play Sega Classics, some gameboy games and run some homebrews (programs written specially for the PSP by users - not official programs). The thing you also need is called Half byte loader. Here is a link from pspslimhacks:

There is even video and written instruction so I guess you will be able to do it right!
Nice playing while waiting the new custom firmware.
P.S. it won't probably come out soon. There isn't new custom firmware since 5.03 ~ around year. PSP go was h*cked but the didn't release the code.

| |  I just want to update you that there is already a mode for you 6.20 OFW. just try to search for google about 6.20 CFW. Be careful. always check first the compatibility of the mod if it is applicable for PSP3000. PSP 3000s can only be soft modded. Meaning that the installment is never permanent because once you turn off the PSP the PSP resets to the OFW. PSP3000s are notoriously easy to permabrick meaning that you would only be left with paperweight if you ever get it wrong. Read first the whole tutorial before installing anything.

| |  I would not recommend modding your PSP 3000, I would recommend buying a used older model so you could mod that.
