The Cross has lost its meaning in our generation  

Definitely no pun intended here, but, you hit the nail on the head! Jesus' death on the cross equates to life when we leave this world. His death paid our debt we incurred from the sin in our lives, something we had no hope in getting out of. But, the Bible states this is foolish to the lost. All we can do is try to show them where they are going, how they got there, that there is a way out & hope they make the right decision.

Yes it has lost its meaning. Good for you because the cross is still seen in public places. Here it is not allowed to have any religious talk nor symbols in schools and government offices. Where I am is not a muslim country.

Oh yes, I am experiencing the life because of the cross. The cross represents the death of the Son of God to pay for our sins that we may have life through Him. The best thing is that the man who died on the cross, buried, rose again from the grave to show you and me that if we trust Him, we will have eternal life. Truly, many people today have failed to recognize the importance of the cross.

for me, it still very much holds the true meaning of his sacrifices! It could be that those who do not believe and do not see the value of the cross, i think their families may have the same from the start and may not even believe in Jesus himself - but believes other religion. We could not be sure though, but we can only always speak for ourselves.

To some may be cross might have lost its significance but to most of us it serves as a reminder that Jesus died for our sins. It reminds us of our New Covenant with God. To me Jesus is more than my moral teacher. He takes care of my morals. His soul in death had changed to Holy Spirit and had conjoined to God. Right now he is seated on the right hand of God and we are waiting for him to come again. Thank you for your post.

The cross will always hold the highest and precious meaning in my life, and yes I also experience the real essence of the word, life, in Jesus Christ only.
I totally agree that the cross where Jesus Christ gave His life so we can have life, is loosing its meaning amoung our generation.
I'm reminded of a recent poll that I happened to of read about teens thinking that their faith is not quite as important to them as much as being sucessful and having a good career or job. Although careers and good jobs are important, but without Christ being the center of their lives it will not satisfied them completely.
So the poll was saying that these teen's faith is taking the back seat in their lives as they are getting ready to leave high school for jobs, careers and colleges then having a family.
It is quite disturbing to see what is happening around us as Christians, but I believe this is the time we need to step up and unite together to put the meaning of the cross, the Bible and our Christian faith back into our generation once again.
